2) Real World Program
It has been observed by the
Sr. Management of various
SI’s that while the
Induction Phase creates
technical & Behavioral
Readiness amongst fresher,
there is still a GAP in
terms of their Project
readiness for the real
world.
The Gap is primarily due to
Limited understanding of
Development Life Cycle of
Applications in the Real
world, the awareness of
Processes, dynamics, time
pressure and chaos that
Operate in the real world.
Furthermore , the limited
Experience / Exposure comes
out as major handicap when
the fresher have to work in
a team environment on Large
Applications wherein they
work on specified modules &
have been assigned specific
tasks. In such cases
relating issues such as
Testing, Application
Integration & Deployment
become a great challenge.
Primary Elements like
reading and understanding a
Use Case, UML diagram,
Writing Test Cases surface
as a challenge. SI’s cannot
afford Trail and Error
efforts at Runtime while one
is on Project. The above
limitation results in
training being extended to
projects & Project Managers
having to play the role of
mentors in grooming these
fresher's resulting in Losses
during production time.
In conclusion, It is
Dollars, TIME and material
Delivery at stake resulting
into unwarranted longer
working hours for others who
are project ready. |
