What is Real World Project (RWP)?

Real World Project (RWP) is a guided case study based program that happens immediately after a training program. The main objective of RWP is to make the participants ‘Project Ready’ in the shortest possible time.

Sr.Consultants & Consultants of Synergetics who act as Project Managers & Tech Leads respectively execute the program. Project leaders are
responsible for smooth execution of the entire program. They are also expected to evaluate each & every participant & submit an evaluation report to the client. The Tech Leads are responsible for solving technical doubts of the participants. They are also responsible for reviewing the design as well as the code of the participants on periodic basis. Each class is divided into multiple groups & each group is assigned a Team leader
who is one of the participants. The client usually suggests the names of the Team leaders. Team leaders represent their groups during team discussions & scheduled meetings with the Project Managers.

Why RWP?

The main objective of RWP is to make the participants ‘Project Ready’ in the shortest possible time.

The main objective of Training programs is to impart knowledge to the participants. At the end of a training program the participants become aware of different concepts in a technology & also the Syntax. However, the participants do not get hands-on experience of implementing that technology in an actual project. There are no real deadlines & no actual ownership of the work that they do. This gap is filled by RWP. Deadlines are given immediately after the case study is introduced & the groups are under tremendous pressure to complete their tasks on time. During RWP the participants are given all the Templates that are followed by the company & are expected to follow all the coding & documentation standards. The participants are also made aware of all the internal process like timesheets, release notes etc. followed by the company. RWP is a complete simulation of a Live project. At the end of RWP, the participants become aware of how things actually work in a real world development scenario. This increases the speed of their productivity tremendously when they are actually placed on the shop floor.
